In these books, I collect the drawings from my ongoing long-term project “berlin_grauwasser”. Since October 2019, I have been sketching Berlin’s navigable waterways from the banks, bridges and sometimes from my kayak.

I supplement the scans of these drawings with short texts, most of which were written on site, mark them on maps, and print them using my inkjet printer onto plain A4 sheets, which I bind into books using adhesive tape. The books have covers made of grey cardboard and an open spine, so that the pages lie flat and open without being separated.

I am constantly adding new drawings and will occasionally replace existing works – so these books are snapshots of an ongoing project with an unknown destination.
