Kaffee

ZOB Arrival Center. Malteser, Koordinatoren und Übersetzer sind da, aber nur wenige einfache Freiwillige zum Aushelfen, wie ich. Ich bin im Essenszelt. Ich gebe Kaffee und Essen aus und Telefone werden aufgeladen. Der Kaffee, den jemand gekocht hat, bevor ich ankam, ist so stark, dass ich ihn mit viel Zucker aus einem kleinen Espressobecher trinke. Unsere Gäste trinken große Becher davon, gegen die Erschöpfung von ihrer Reise. Heute ist es ruhig. Ich habe Zeit für eine Zeichnung.

ZOB Arrival Center. Malteser staff and coordinators and translators are there, but only very few simple volunteers to help out, like me. I am in the food supply tent. I hand out coffee and food and smartphones get charged. The coffee somebody had cooked before I came is so strong that I better drink it from a small espresso cup with lots of sugar. Our guests drink big mugs of it, against the fatigue of their journey. It is calm and I have time for a sketch.
