Vor dem Imbiss an der Ostpreußenbrücke steht ein Fernseher. Der Imbiss ist mit Flaggen in üblicher Fussballturnier-Qualität geschmückt. Der Hocker, auf dem der Fernseher steht, ist allerdings mit einer hochwertigen Türkischen Flagge aus einem rot schimmernden Satin Stoff bekleidet.

Am Tisch direkt neben dem Fernseher sitzt die Familie des Imbiss-Eigners – zumindest erkenne ich seine Frau und seinen Sohn, er selbst ist im Bild 1 ganz rechts im schwarzen Polohemd. Der Herr im Türkischen Trikot direkt neben ihm sieht ihm ein bisschen ähnlich.

Es wird das Spiel der Tschechischen gegen die Türkische Mannschaft gezeigt. Die Kommentatoren berichten, dass es um den Einzug ins Achtelfinale gehe.

Die Leute am Tisch neben dem Fernseher und das Personal folgen dem Spiel eindeutig parteiisch. Dabei wird der Imbiss weiter mit dem gewohnten Engagement betrieben, auch der Chef erlaubt es sich nur gelegentlich, bei der Familie zu sitzen, ansonsten versorgt auch er seine Gäste.

There is a television in front of the snack bar on the Ostpreußenbrücke. The snack bar is decorated with flags of the usual football tournament quality. However, the stool on which the television stands is covered with a high-quality Turkish flag made from a shimmering red satin fabric.

The snack bar owner’s family is sitting at the table right next to the TV – at least I recognise his wife and son, he himself is on the far right in the black polo shirt in picture 1. The gentleman in the Turkish jersey next to him looks a bit like him.

The match between the Czech and Turkish teams is being shown. The commentators tell us that the game is about reaching the round of 16.

The people at the table next to the TV and the staff are clearly following the game with partiality. The snack bar continues to be run with the usual dedication, even the chef only occasionally allows himself to sit with the family, otherwise he also looks after his guests.

Von denen verfolgen viele ebenfalls interessiert das Spiel, aber ohne große Leidenschaft. Einige eigentlich durch sportliche Kleidung als fussballaffin markierte Menschen schauen nicht mal hin.

Am Ende siegt die Türkische Mannschaft – “Oley Türkye” ruft der Mann am Kebap-Messer.
