Heute Abend bin ich in der Stadt von Morgen. Also dem Morgen von 1957. Im Ladenzentrum (Architekten Ernst Zissner und Hansrudolf Plarre) gibt es tagsüber links Blumen und rechts Schlüssel und Schuhreparaturen. Der Rewe links um die Ecke hat noch auf, der Dönerladen am U-Bahneingang auch. Die Platzordnung untersagt u.A. Alkoholkonsum außerhalb der gastronomischen Einrichtungen – hier berichtet die taz darüber.

Tonight I’m in the city of tomorrow. 1957’s tomorrow. The shopping centre (architects Ernst Zissner and Hansrudolf Plarre) sells flowers during the day on the left and keys and shoe repairs on the right. The Rewe supermarket around the corner on the left is still open, as is the kebab shop at the underground entrance. The square rules prohibit, among other things, the consumption of alcohol outside the catering facilities.
