Waitzstraße, Ecke Lewishamstraße

Die Läden im EG des Gebäudes an der Ecke zur Waitzstraße sind alle leer, ebenso wie das ‘Hotel Panorama am Adenauerplatz’ zu dem der Teil mit Läden unter einem Parkgeschoß zu gehören scheint. Im 1 OG sind keine Autos, obendrauf stehen kleine Bäume und Sträucher. Die Lewishamstraße verschwindet vor dem Hotel in einem Tunnel, der den Ku’damm unterquert, aber das sieht man nicht, weil Autos davor stehen. Radfahrer fahren auf dem Gehweg, für einen Radweg war zwischen Tunnelmaul, Abbieger-Fahrspur und Straßenrand-Parken kein Platz.

The shops on the ground floor of the building on the corner of Waitzstraße are all empty, as is the ‘Hotel Panorama am Adenauerplatz’, to which the part with shops under a parking floor seems to belong. There are no cars on the first floor, small trees and bushes on top. Lewishamstrasse disappears in front of the hotel in a tunnel that passes under Ku’damm, but you can’t see that because there are cars in front of it. Cyclists ride on the pavement, there was no space for a cycle path between the tunnel mouth, the turning lane and the roadside parking.
