Am Kaiserdamm wird beidseitig und auf dem Mittelstreifen zwischen den je drei Fahrspuren geparkt. Die etwas klobigen Kandelaber-Laternen sind mit ebenfalls mäßig eleganten Wahlplakaten behangen.

On Kaiserrdamm, cars are parked on both sides of the road and on the central reservation between the three lanes on each side. The somewhat clunky candelabra-style street lamps are plastered with election posters that are equally lacking in elegance.
Morgen wählen wir in Berlin. Am Abzweig der Masurenallee vom Theodor-Heuss-Platz stehen auf einer Verkehrsinsel sechs Wahlplakate zwischen den Platanen. Die zum Verkehr gerichteten Vorderseiten sind mir für die Wahlentscheidung keine rechte Hilfe. Auf die sperrhölzerne Rückseite der Plakatständer hat jemand was draufgesprüht, “…LIEBE♥️”.
Ich wünsche eine gute Wahl.

Tomorrow we’re voting in Berlin. At the junction where Masurenallee branches off from Theodor-Heuss-Platz, there are six election posters standing on a traffic island amongst the plane trees. The front sides, facing the traffic, aren’t really helping me make up my mind. Someone has spray-painted ‘…LOVE♥️’ onto the plywood backs of the billboard stands.
