_ steht auf dem Schild am Gittertor am Ufer des Berlin-Spandauer-Schiffahtskanal. ‘Bekohlt’ wird wohl das Heizkraftwerk Moabit, auf der anderen Seite der Uferstrasse. Ein aufgeständertes Transportband führt vom Kran über die Straße zum Kraftwerk. Heute ist kein Schiff mit Kohle zu sehen, statt dessen rudert jemand ein kleines Planschschlauchboot über den (soweit ich weiß hier eigentlich für die Sportschifffahrt gesperrten) Kanal.
‘Attention Coaling Plant’ is marked on the sign at the gate on the bank of the Berlin-Spandauer-Schiffahtskanal. The Moabit combined heat and power plant on the other side of the canalside road is probably being ‘coalled’. An elevated conveyor belt leads from the crane across the street into the power plant. Today, there is no ship with coal to be seen, instead someone is rowing a small inflatable raft across the canal (as far as I know, it’s actually closed for pleasure boating).
