Vor dem asiatischen Supermarkt an der Ecke Kant-/Friedrichstraße liegt gezacktes Laub. Erst ist der Markt noch auf und drinnen Licht, um neun ist es zu und dann auch bald dunkel. In meinem Blickfeld stehen nur Linden, aber 15 m in meinem Rücken steht ein Baum mit Laub wie auf dem Gehweg – Ahorn, oder so, denke ich, werde aber auf Basis eines auf Instagram mit dem Bild veröffentlichten Fotos eines Blattes auf das Pflanzenkundigste korrigiert: Quercus rubra, also Amerikanische Eiche oder Roteiche.
In front of the Asian supermarket on the corner of Kant-/Friedrichstraße there are jagged leaves. The market is still open and inside light, at nine it closes and then it is dark soon. In my field of vision there are only lime trees, but 15 m in my back there is a tree, with foliage like on the pavement – maple, or something, I think, but based on a photo of a leaf published on Instagram with the picture, I am corrected with superior botanical knowledge: Quercus rubra, that is American oak or red oak.
Um halbelf trinke ich allein an einem der Tische des McDonalds an der Ecke Wilmersdorfer-/ Kantstraße Kaffee und schaue durchs Fenster: Draussen trinken Leute Milkshakes, essen und gestikulieren.
At half past eleven I drink coffee alone at one of the McDonald’s tables on the corner of Wilmersdorfer and Kantstraße and look through the window: Outside people are drinking milkshakes, eat and gesture.
