Am Mellowpark mündet der kleine Fluss Wuhle in die Spree. Ich sitze auf der Köpenicker Seite an der Mündung, auf der anderen Wuhleseite in Oberschöneweide ist der Mellowpark, ein umzäuntes Jugend- und Freizeitzentrum, mit Skateboardrampe usw.
Zum Wasser steht ein Schild. Ich sehe nur die Rückseite. Darauf sind allerlei Graffiti und Sticker, oft mit Union Berlin Bezug. Ein paar hundert Meter hinter mir ist das Fußballstadion des Vereins an der Alten Försterei. Außerdem klebt da ein hier häufig zu findendes in rotweißer Sturmhaube steckendes Gesicht, zu dessen Befreiung aufgerufen wird – ich recherchiere kurz und sehe einen mit Kampfhund, Sportwagen und Kettchen posierenden Menschen über den ich erstmal nicht mehr wissen will.
Hier am Ufer liegt unberührter Schnee. Kleine Wellen schwappen auf das dünne Eis am Wasserrand.

At Mellowpark, the small river Wuhle flows into the Spree. I am sitting on the Köpenick side at the mouth of the river. On the other side of the Wuhle in Oberschöneweide is Mellowpark, a fenced-in youth and leisure centre with a skateboard ramp and so on.
There is a sign by the water. I can only see the back of it. It is covered in graffiti and stickers, many of them relating to Union Berlin. A few hundred metres behind me is the club’s football stadium at Alte Försterei. There is also a sticker of a face wearing a red and white balaclava, which is often found here, calling for its liberation. I do a quick search and see a person posing with a fighting dog, a sports car and necklaces, about whom I don’t want to know any more for the time being.
Here on the shore lies untouched snow. Small waves lap against the thin ice at the water’s edge.
