Alex Mendizabal – operina

Libretto bases on 22 sentences by Italo Calvino, that were requested by the director as fave sentences by Calvino from his friends via WhatsApp. The operina is performed by arranging objects on a small table, that serves as stage.

The musician, depicted three times, is manipulating the valves and refilling water in the buckets. Soap bubbles spill out of some of the buckets.

Alex Mendizabal – water soap opera

The water soap opera consists of 12 big air filled balloons, with tubes attached to it, that end in  Yogurt buckets with soapy water. An outlet of some kind produces sound or so. The conductor (the balloons are the musicians) manipulates valves at the outlet of the balloons and refills water to the buckets.
