Kurz vor der nördlichen Einfahrt zur Schleuse Spandau liegt rechts das Grundstück einer Garnfischerei an der Havel. Metallene Boote verschiedener Größe liegen angetäut, das größte, die ‘Havelland’, ist sehr lang und schmal und flach, bis auf den hochgezogenen spitzen Bug.
Zu Hause suche ich online nach dem Fischereibetrieb und finde einen Zeitungsartikel von 2014: Der Fischer beschwert sich über Schikanen bzgl. seiner Schiffe – er habe sein 22m langes Boot extra kostspielig um 2m gekürzt, um den Regularien zu entsprechen. Mittlereweile dürfe er aber nur noch max 15m lange Boote steuern.
Shortly before the northern entrance to the Spandau lock, the site of a yarn fishery on the Havel is on the right. Metal boats of various sizes are moored, the largest, the ‘Havelland’, is very long and narrow and flat, except for the raised pointed bow.
At home I search online for the fishing company and find a newspaper article from 2014: The fisherman complains about chicanery regarding his boats – he has shortened his 22m long boat by 2m at extra cost to comply with the regulations. In the meantime he is only allowed to steer boats of max 15m length.
