Am Abzweig des Flutkanals unter der Berliner Unterschleuse liegt direkt am Charlottenburger Tor das Restaurantboot Käptn Schillow, daran ist als Erweiterung ein alter Schlepper vertäut. Am Kanal liegen Tiergartenseits Hausbboote, auf der Schleuseninsel sind Gebäude der Technischen Universität, darunter Ludwig Leos Umlaufkanal.
Ich treibe mit meinem Faltkajak zwischen gelbem Laub in der leichten Strömung des Landwehrkanals, ab und zu brauche ich das Paddel um die Position zu korrigieren und mein Arsch stellt fest, dass ich die Bootshaut flicken muss.
The restaurant boat Käptn Schillow is located at the branch of the flood channel under the ‚Berliner Unterschleuse‘ directly at the Charlottenburg Gate. Houseboats are moored along the canal on the Tiergarten side, while buildings of the Technical University, including Ludwig Leo’s ‚Umlaufkanal‘, are located on the lock island.
I am drifting with my folding kayak between yellow foliage in the light current of the Landwehr Canal, from time to time I need the paddle to correct the position and my butt finds out that I have to mend the boat skin.
