Ich mache meinen Kajak an zwei Pollern knapp oberhalb der Gotzkowskybrücke fest und schaue die Spree hinauf. Auf der Charlottenburger Seite steht ein einigermaßen neues Haus an der Brücke, am Ufer vor den Gebauer-Höfen wird gebaut. Ein Erdbohrer steht am Ufer, hinter rostigen Spundwänden. Das Wikingerufer auf der Moabiter Seite ist fast fertig saniert, eine neue helle Betonuferwand mit ein paar Treppen zum Fluß ist fertig, oben noch für letzte Arbeiten abgesperrt.

I moor my kayak to two bollards just above the Gotzkowsky Bridge and look up the Spree. On the Charlottenburg side, there’s a fairly new house by the bridge, and construction is underway on the bank in front of the Gebauer-Höfe. An auger stands on the bank, behind rusty sheet piling. The Wikingerufer on the Moabit side has been almost completely renovated, a new light-coloured concrete bank wall with a few steps to the river is finished, the top is still cordoned off for final work.
