Oben sieht man von der Herkulesbrücke am Lützowplatz den Großen Stern, div. Botschaften, eine Parteizentrale und das Loch, wo die Erweiterung des (ebenfalls sichtbaren) Bauhausarchives hinkommt. Da gegenüber führt eine Treppe in der Ufermauer des Landwehrkanals bis hinunter zum Wasser.
Es ist Herbst, und im Wasser treibt gelbes Laub. Ein Paar auf Standup-Paddeling-Boards paddelt vorbei, Richtung Charlottenburg, ein mittelgroßes Motorboot fährt musikabspielend in die selbe Richtung. Aus der anderen Richtung kommt ein kleines Kajütboot mit Aussenborder und freundlich grüßenden Menschen. Ansonsten bin ich allein.
Above, from the ‚Herkulesbrücke‘ at Lützowplatz, you can see the ‚Großer Stern‘, various embassies, a party headquarters and the hole where the extension of the Bauhaus Archive (also visible) will be located. Opposite, a staircase in the bank wall of the Landwehrkanal leads down to the water.
It is autumn, and yellow leaves are floating in the water. A couple on standup paddling boards paddles past, towards Charlottenburg, a midsized motorboat is goingin the same direction, playing music. From the other direction comes a small cabin boat with outboard motor and friendly greeting people. Otherwise I am alone.
